MINDS carnival

yeps.
back from school, from the NE thing.
which is the MINDS carnival.
reached school at 8am.
super loooooong never go school at such a time already.
*yawns*

went to those briefing,
then awaits our MINDS buddy.
but my actual buddy wasn't here.
she is.. not at MINDS anymore, apparently.

but they got me another buddy after that,
coz her NYP buddy didn't turned up.
so i brought her around everywhere in sports hall.
haha.
ok.
she is quite guai de.
nv give me any trouble.
watched performances,
then saw WeiMun and his buddy.
and since our buddies know each other,
so let them play with each other.
then we sit there and rot.
hahaha.

looooong wait,
and finally it's lunch time.
super hungry by then.
me and WeiMun were thinking of da pao-ing Mac for lunch lo.
*oops!*
but in the end nv la. haha
during lunch,
i 1 person take care of 4 MINDS clients.
why?
coz their NYP buddy dont know disappear until where.
and i can't leave them alone right??
i'm not that bad.
hahaha.

after lunch went back sports hall.
found WeiMun again.
hahhaa.
then they got those Dance Time for them to dance.
my buddy is like so hyper.
she went up the stage straight.
so Me and WeiMun's buddy went to dance.
we sat there and rot and chat.
while making sure we don't lose them from our eyesight.
WeiMun almost lost his buddy

speechless.

after that.
carnival jiu end le.
so wait for them to board the bus.
THEN i realise.
all along i was replacing WeiMun's classmate.
hhaha.
ok.
not important.
something random:
he asked me go board the bus with them.
*bish*

carnival end,
went to slack,
and print some notes.
and home-ed.

reflections-- what i learnt from this event:
two chinese words: 幸福
one english word: bliss
yes, they are intellectually disabled.
but this has not stopped them from being themselves,
learning new things,
and most importantly,
having fun and laughter in their life.
before the event started,
we were still scared or worried that we could not communicate well with them.
but in the end,
it's not that hard after all.

accompanying them,
see them play,
see them dance.
see their happy faces,
when they had their nails painted,
when they had their balloon,
when they received a prize, (even though it's only a sticker)
when they get to eat popcorn or cotton candy for the first time in their life

i realise what is actually means by
简单就是幸福.
sometimes,
we don't actually need the whole world to make us feel happy.
some little actions or thoughts
can also be sufficient to put a smile on our faces.

being with them really thought me to be more patient.
control my temper.

seeing my buddy so happy yesterday.
it really made me smile too.
coz i made someone happy too.

i know she won't remember me by the time today ends.
but i know,
i will remember her.
coz she was the one who made me realise the meaning of
简单就是幸福.
sheau ling.
that's her name =)

tired,
then went to sleep.
at 6pm.

nvm. mummy says ok ma.
so i go sleep de.
wahaha

ps: MLB coming to NYP??!?!?!?!
i heard it's on 22nd.
oh.
im going to keep that day very free if that's the case.
