HK trip

day 6: 23rd september 2008

woke up at ard 0645++ with fel fel to go take away breakfast. for ourselves and nel and eve who were still sleeping. haah. after that went back to our 11th level room to eat. watched news while eating. saw the news on typhoon. didnt really care about it. after final packing up and checking, took our luggages to level 6 and find them. checked out at 0830. so i have 2 big luggages, 1 converse bag with nothing and one hand carry bag for all the biscuits and stuff. -.-

at lobby, heard Dr. Henry say about the typhoon, and when we board the coach, he told us about it. apparently, we have to go airport and check in early, or else IF our flight is to be delayed due to the typhoon (predicted to be grade 8), then SIA would have to take care of our accomodation. if not, we would have to sleep in the airport. -.- after that, my mood of the day is gone. and nel they all start telling me, i'm lucky that i can spend my birthday with typhoon. NO LO. i would rather go home. =x

after that, was trip to Chinese University of HongKong. the university was on a mountain. OMG. and we saw a building even higher than the mountain we were on. and we started to talk about what would happen if NYP is to be on a mountain, and we were late for lesson. that would be so OMG.

anyway, they had a small museum in their school. that was so cool. in the museum, there is this bronze model to teach about the meridian points in body. then there is also Mr Li Shi-Zhen from Ming Dynasty. haha. his model as well. there are also different panels in the museum that consist of different chinese medicine, and also teach us how to differentiate the authentic or fake products, and also showing us the endangered species, like bear's gall bladder.

after that was tour around the labs. i can only say it's very small and messy. but they have lots of equipments that our school did not have. at least, i THINK we don't have coz i didn't see them before.

after Chinese University, was visit to Prince of Wales Hospital, where it is the clinical trials unit of Chinese University. the hospital is the place where many of the universities' professionals hold clinical trials of the chinese medicine that they are researching on. damn cool. but sadly, we could not get to see those clinical trials room except the acupunture room. it was quite nice. haha.

after that was straight to airport, after buying lunch (sandwich) in the hospital. in the end reached airport at about 1330 or 1400 like that. and started to rot there while waiting for the confirmation of our flight after checking in. rot and rot and rot, finally wait until the time when we could board our flight. till then, it was still grade 3 typhoon.

then as we were leaving, the rain for the typhoon got bigger. -.- luckily we still got to fly. if not, my birthday would have to be spent in HK. reached singapore at 2200++. mummy, daddy and 2 sis came. and took bus home. haha. then was the finally long awaited HOME SWEET HOME. woo~~ hahha.
