A tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

23 March 2015,
The day Singapore bids goodbye to our founding father.
Since that Monday morning, everyone turned up to work with a heavy heart.
During this whole mourning week, there had been so many news, articles, tributes everywhere.

I thought I wouldn't drop any tears but I was wrong.
It hit me quite hard in a way different from everyone else.
It was when I saw the familar Lexus following the hearse to Istana on facebook / news.
The Lexus which I have seen numerous times in SGH Block 7, and the familiar faces of the bodyguards. That was when I really felt the sadness.

Attempted to go to Parliament House to pay my last respect, but it wasn't successful. A 12 hours waiting time was expected and I really couldn't make it because of yoga class that I booked earlier on.

All in all, we still want to say:

Thank you Mr Lee, for everything that you have done for us.
For giving us a safe country to live in
For giving us a clean and green country
For training us to be bilingual, and yes, we are proud of it.
For the multi-racial and multi-cultural environment we live in
For the safest environment.
And many more.

And the most important thing is,
For giving us a place we call home,

I am proud to be a Singaporean, and I will always be.
